Delhi Car Blast Probe: Dr. Shaheen's 10-Year Jaish-e-Mohammed Ties Exposed; White-Collar Terror Module Linked to Pakistan Handlers

In a shocking revelation from the ongoing investigation into the Delhi car blast near Red Fort, Lucknow-based Dr. Shaheen Shahid has been confirmed as the mastermind with a decade-long association with Pakistan-backed terrorist group Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM).

National Investigation Agency (NIA) officials disclosed that Shaheen joined JeM in 2015, initially sending sensitive information before becoming an active member by 2016.

Codenamed 'Madam Surgeon' by JeM operatives, she quit her job, family, and children in 2021, reportedly declaring, "Now I have to repay the debt of my community. Something big is being planned."

The blast, which killed 9 people including civilians and security personnel, has uncovered a sophisticated 'white-collar terror module' involving five radicalized doctors from Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, and Jammu & Kashmir.

Security agencies have arrested Dr. Shaheen from Lucknow, along with Dr. Umar Un Nabi (the bomber who died in the explosion), Dr. Mujammil Ganai, and two others.

Interrogations are underway for Shaheen's brother, Dr. Parvez, while two more aides—Rizwan and Shoaib (an electrician at Al-Falah University)—were detained from Nuh's Hidayat Colony for funding the plot.

Key Developments in Delhi Blast Investigation

- JeM Funding Trail: ₹20 lakh transferred via hawala from JeM handlers sparked a clash between Umar and Shaheen. Funds were used for explosives, including ₹3 lakh on NPK fertilizer for IEDs.

- Explosives Lab at Home: Umar set up a bomb-making lab in Faridabad's Al-Falah University area, receiving DIY videos and instructions via Telegram from Pakistani handlers.

- Operation Hamdard Uncovered: Dr. Mujammil's diary revealed plans to train Muslim girls for attacks, with Shaheen tasked as executor. The 25-30 member network spans J&K and Faridabad.

- Reconnaissance and Movements: Umar roamed Delhi for 13 days pre-blast, driving the Hyundai i20 (purchased in Faridabad) on reconnaissance, including the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway. CCTV from October 30 shows the car at Al-Falah University.

- 9mm Cartridges at Site: Three restricted 9mm rounds (two live, one spent) recovered from the blast site, probing how civilian-restricted ammo reached terrorists.

Al-Falah University Under Scanner as Terror Hub

Former J&K DGP SP Vaid labeled Al-Falah University in Faridabad a "hub of terrorism," noting its owner's past jail term for fraud. The university showed leniency toward Kashmiri students:

- Quick promotions for suspects like Umar, Mujammil, and Shaheen, who vanished for 3-4 months without explanation.

- Umar's conservative ideology: Objected to male-female interactions; offered personal rooms to Kashmiri students.

- Financial Traps by Mujammil: Distributed money (₹35,000 for madrasa pump, ₹50,000 for medical aid, ₹1 lakh for wedding) to recruit via Telegram, implicating over 20 people now in custody.

Delhi Police filed two FIRs against the university for fraud, forgery, and fake NAAC accreditation. NIA, ED, and STF teams raided the campus; Civil Hospital closed except emergencies. UGC and NAAC complaints triggered probes into foreign funding.

Multi-Agency Raids and Security Tightening

- Faridabad Crackdown: Police checked 200+ hotels/PGs, 100 car dealers; mandated daily records. DGP Om Prakash Singh reviewing ahead of Home Minister Amit Shah's November 17 visit for Northern Zonal Council.

- J&K Links: Counter-Intelligence Kashmir raided south Kashmir, questioning Anantnag doctors. Nowgam police station blast (9 dead) sealed; NSG and NIA inspecting—suspected module tie-in. Magisterial inquiry ordered by LG Manoj Sinha.

- Tenant Verifications: Over 500 Kashmiri and 1,700 interstate tenants in Delhi scrutinized for police docs, witnesses, and occupations.

- Absconding Suspects: Umar stayed 10 days in Nuh house (arranged by Shoaib); owner (Shoaib's sister-in-law) fleeing. Shaheen applied for passport in October to escape abroad but delayed by verification.

Expert Reactions on Doctor-Terrorists

- Former IPS Kiran Bedi: "Wearing a white coat means peace... These are not educated; they've spoiled education's name. True education is humanity, not violence."

- Ex-J&K DGP SP Vaid: Welcomed degree cancellations; "They are terrorists, not doctors. Shut fraudulent institutions."

Red Fort Metro gates reopened; probe expands to hawala networks, ISI meetings (Shaheen's module met handler Abu Ukasha in Turkey, 2022). Agencies decode major JeM-ISI plots tied to Pakistan support.
