According to reports, 265 people have been confirmed dead in the crash of Air India Flight AI-171, which was en route to London on June 11, 2025. Among them were the son, daughter-in-law, and granddaughter of Abdullah Bhai Nina Baba, residents of the Kemla area in Surat. The family had arrived from England to Surat’s Eidgah last Friday to celebrate Eid and were scheduled to return to London via Karachi on Wednesday.

While the family has received news of the crash, there is still no official confirmation about the exact status of the deceased, and they are currently listed as “missing.”
