Air India Crash: Pilot Sumit Sabharwal's Body Arrives in Mumbai for Last Rites
The body of Pilot Sumit Sabharwal, who tragically lost his life in the Air India plane crash, has been brought to Mumbai. His last rites will be performed shortly.
After the Air India Plane Crash, the body of the pilot of the plane, Captain Sumit Sabharwal, was brought to Mumbai on Tuesday. An official said that Captain Sabharwal's body reached Mumbai airport by plane in the morning, then his family members took the body to his residence at Jalvayu Vihar in Powai.
He said that the body will be kept at Sabharwal's house for an hour, so that people can pay tribute to him and later his last rites will be performed at Chakla Electric Crematorium.

Sabharwal lived with his elderly parents in Mumbai. He was going to London with 242 passengers and crew members. During this time, Air India plane AI-171 crashed on June 12, just moments after take off from Ahmedabad. This flight was commanded by Captain Sumit Sabharwal. First Officer Clive Kunder was also with him.
