Amit Shah in Varanasi Today; CMs Join for 25th Central Zonal Council Meet

Union Home Minister Amit Shah arrives in Varanasi today to chair the 25th Central Zonal Council meeting. Chief Ministers of four states will participate as key regional issues are set to be discussed. All preparations for the high-level meeting are complete.
All the four Chief Ministers and Home Ministers will visit Kashi Vishwanath Temple and Kalbhairav Temple on Monday evening. After this, all the leaders will stay overnight at the Taj Hotel, where the 25th Central Zonal Council meeting will be held on Tuesday.
Issues related to security and development will be raised in the three-hour meeting
This meeting will run from 11 am to 2 pm on June 24 in the Darbar Hall of the Taj Hotel. The meeting will be chaired by Amit Shah, while Yogi Adityanath will be in the role of regional vice-president. More than 120 senior officials from four states will also attend this meeting.
Topics like Bangladeshi and Rohingya infiltration, border security, POCSO, crimes against women, electricity-water, road conditions, environment and religious tourism will be discussed in the meeting.
On this occasion, a grand exhibition of 10 major crafts and handicraft products of Kashi with GI tag will also be organized. This will not only give recognition to local artisans, but will also give a new identity to the regional heritage at the national level.
Ganga Aarti and cruise journey also included
After the meeting, all the leaders will travel by Ganga from Namo Ghat to Assi Ghat via cruise and will participate in Ganga Aarti at Dashashwamedh Ghat. Through this cultural program, the spiritual and tourism importance of Kashi will also be shown.
Preparations for welcome at 11 places, Hotel Taj becomes the main center
Local BJP workers will give a traditional welcome to the Home Minister and Chief Ministers at 11 places from the airport to the temple and the hotel. A cultural atmosphere will be created in the city with drums and blowing of conches.
Cutting Memorial School near Taj Hotel has been made a parking place, while the security cordon has been strengthened around it. Police Commissioner Mohit Agarwal also held a review meeting with the officials on security late on Sunday night.
