Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed deep sorrow over the stampede incident outside Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore. He extended condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the tragic event.

The celebration of RCB's victory, which became the champion in IPL 2025, has turned into mourning. On June 4, the crowd that reached Chinnaswamy Stadium to celebrate the victory of Bangalore Royal Challengers went out of control. During this, 11 people are reported to have died due to stampede, while many injured are undergoing treatment in the hospital. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed condolences on this tragic incident and wished the injured a speedy recovery.

Prime Minister Modi wrote on the social media platform 'X', "This accident in Bengaluru is very heartbreaking. In this sad moment, my condolences are with all those who have lost their loved ones. I pray for the speedy recovery of the injured." The RCB team was to be honored
The event was organized by the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA), in which the RCB team was to be honored for their first IPL title. Only those with passes and tickets were allowed for the event, but despite this, a large number of fans reached without permission, due to which the situation went out of control.

According to sources, the temporary slab placed on a drain near the stadium suddenly broke due to the weight of the people standing there. As soon as the slab fell, there was chaos in the crowd present there and a stampede situation was created. During this, many people were crushed or fell and got injured.

This incident put an end to the joy of victory: CM Siddaramaiah

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has confirmed that 11 people died and 33 were injured in the incident. CM has announced a compensation of Rs 10 lakh for the families of the deceased

CM Siddaramaiah said, "We are deeply shocked to hear the news of many people losing their lives and many being seriously injured in the stampede during the RCB team's victory celebrations at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. The pain of this tragedy has overshadowed the joy of victory. May the souls of the deceased rest in peace and I wish the injured and those being treated in the hospital a speedy recovery."

He further wrote, "My condolences are with the bereaved families who have lost their loved ones. The team was not allowed to march in the victory parade due to the fear of such stampede and untoward incident due to the crowd going out of control.
