Banquet Hall Blaze in Moti Nagar: One Feared Trapped

On June 23, a massive fire ripped through a banquet hall opposite the DLF complex in Moti Nagar, Delhi, prompting over 150 firefighters and 24 tenders to rush in; one person escaped by jumping.

A sudden fire broke out in Golden Banquet Hall in Moti Nagar police station area in West Delhi on Monday night. Within a short time, the fire took a horrific form. Fortunately, no function was going on here. There were some people who came out safely as soon as the fire broke out. But two people got caught in the fire. One of them saved his life by jumping down. The other is feared to be still trapped in it.

As soon as the information of the incident was received, 24 fire engines reached the spot. The firemen had controlled the fire at night. The search for the person who is feared to be trapped inside is also going on.

Fire department director Atul Garg said that at around 8:45 pm on Monday night, information was received about a fire in Golden Banquet Hall located near DLF in Moti Nagar. As soon as the information was received, fire engines were sent to the spot from nearby fire stations. The fire officials who reached the spot found that the fire had spread completely in the banquet hall and flames were coming out from the upper floor.

Looking at the severity of the fire, two dozen vehicles were called to the spot. Also, Bronto vehicle was called to the spot to extinguish the fire on the upper floor. After that, the firemen started extinguishing the fire after removing the people present nearby. Initial investigation revealed that the fire started from the ground floor.

The fire officer said that we were told that two people are trapped here. One saved his life by jumping and one is trapped inside. His search is on. The fire has been controlled and will be brought under control soon.
