Bomb Threats to Bengaluru Schools After Delhi Scare

Following similar incidents in Delhi, multiple schools in Bengaluru received bomb threats, triggering panic among parents and students. Authorities promptly evacuated children and launched a thorough investigation.

After Delhi, now four private schools in Bengaluru also received bomb threats via email.

This threatening email claimed that explosive devices have been hidden in the classrooms of schools. But after police investigation, this threat turned out to be just a rumour, which created fear in the hearts of schools and parents.

The threatening email was received by the schools at 7:24 am, the subject of which was "Bomb inside the school". The email read, "I want to tell you that I have placed several explosive devices (trinitrotoluene) in the classrooms of the school. These explosives have been hidden in black plastic bags."

Schools evacuated immediately

The police sent bomb squads and anti-terrorism investigation teams to the schools without any delay. Children and staff were immediately evacuated safely from the schools. The police thoroughly examined the school premises, but nothing suspicious was found.

A senior police officer said, "At least four schools received bomb threat emails, which created panic. We took all necessary steps, but the threat turned out to be false during investigation."

Meanwhile, more than 20 schools in Delhi also received bomb threats on Friday, which spread panic among children and their parents there too.

This incident may have turned out to be false, but an atmosphere of fear was created among schools and parents. Bengaluru Police made it clear that it is not taking such threats lightly and the search for those sending such emails has been started. Police has appealed to the people not to pay attention to rumors and immediately report any suspicious activity.

This is not the first time that schools have received such threats. Such rumors have surfaced many times before, which later proved to be false. Still, such incidents create fear and uneasiness in schools and society.
