BSF Hero Honored Mid-Flight for Bravery in Operation Sindoor

A BSF jawan, who sustained serious injuries while protecting his comrades during Operation Sindoor, received a heartfelt honor aboard an Indigo flight. The gesture celebrated his exceptional courage and dedication to duty.

India has given a strong message to Pakistan under Operation Sindoor. In response to the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, the Indian Army destroyed 9 terrorist bases located in Pakistan and POK. After this, when Pakistan tried to attack again, the Indian Army carried out air strikes and damaged 11 of its military bases. This operation is being discussed all over the world, and the real face of Pakistan's terrorism has now been exposed

Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently visited Adampur Airbase, where he met the air warriors involved in Operation Sindoor. On this occasion, PM Modi boosted the morale of the soldiers and praised India's air defense system. During Operation Sindoor, residential areas along the border in Jammu and Kashmir were being continuously shelled by Pakistan, to which the Border Security Force personnel responded.

A brave soldier has been honored in Indigo flight. BSF informed in its X post that on June 10, 2025, during the Delhi-Bengaluru flight, Assistant Sub Inspector Rajappa BD of BSF's 165 Battalion was honored for his bravery, dedication and devotion to the country shown in Operation Sindoor.

Injured while protecting colleagues

In this video, the announcement made during the flight said that it is a matter of pride for us to honor a special passenger in this flight. During Operation Sindoor on May 7 and 8, BSF Assistant Sub Inspector Rajappa BD was seriously injured while helping his colleagues amid heavy shelling on the international border in Jammu region. We honor him for his courageous act.

The passengers stood up from their seats and applauded the BSF jawan after an announcement was made in the flight. Rajappa BD accepted their greetings with folded hands. The BSF shared the video of this incident and thanked IndiGo for this initiative, which was taken to honor the brave border guard.
