CM Rekha Gupta’s Security Upgraded: CRPF to Take Over

Following the recent attack, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta’s security has been strengthened. Her Z+ security now includes CRPF personnel, additional surveillance, and enhanced protective measures to ensure her safety.
After the attack on Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Wednesday, important changes have been made in her security system. Now new security rules will be implemented during public hearing. Under the new system, it will be ensured that no person will be able to go directly near the Chief Minister. The problems of the complainants will first be verified by the officials and only then the CM will hear the matter. This attack on the Chief Minister's residence in Civil Lines has alerted the security agencies. According to sources, a high-level meeting was also held regarding the security of the Chief Minister, in which it was decided to review the security flaws and fix them.
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta was attacked during a public hearing at her official residence in Civil Lines on Wednesday. After the incident, there was chaos at the spot. According to the information, the accused threw an object like a stone at the Chief Minister and pulled her hand forcefully. In this sudden attack, the CM's head hit the table. The security personnel took immediate action and overpowered the accused. The attacker has been identified as 41-year-old Rajesh Khimji, who is said to be a resident of Rajkot, Gujarat. At present, the police have arrested the accused and started interrogation.
Now CRPF commandos have been deployed in the Chief Minister Jan Seva Sadan, so that any untoward incident can be prevented. Rekha Gupta already has Z plus security. However, when the CM leaves her residence, there will be no change in her existing security system. But new security rules will be applicable during public hearings and public meetings. After the attack, a high level meeting was called regarding security, in which the entire security system was reviewed. After this, it was decided that the complainants would be allowed to appear before the CM only after their entry and investigation.
Security also increased in CM House
After the attack, security has also been tightened at the Chief Minister's residence. Now no one is being allowed to enter without investigation. Dozens of workers working in the CM House were also stopped outside. Only those people were allowed inside who had Aadhar card and whose records were available with the security department. After the attack, it was decided in a high-level security meeting that CRPF commandos would be deployed in Jan Seva Sadan.
The accused's criminal background came to the fore
Mishra said that it is clear from the initial investigation that the accused had done a recce like professional criminals before the attack. He went to the Chief Minister's residence and collected information by talking to the people present there. He said, "This was not an ordinary incident. The accused has a very serious criminal record. We are all waiting for the result of the Delhi Police investigation." It is noteworthy that on Wednesday, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta was attacked during a public hearing at her Civil Lines residence. The accused threw something heavy at the CM and pulled her hand, due to which her head hit the table. The police arrested the attacker on the spot.
