Delhi Police has arrested four Bangladeshi citizens living illegally for the last 12 years. The Anti-Auto Theft Squad (AATS) of the Southwest District Police, acting on a tip-off, caught these suspects from Delhi Cantt area. According to officials, the accused have been identified as Mohammad Asad Ali (44), his wife Naseema Begum (40) and their children Mohammad Naeem Khan (18) and Asha Moni (13). All of them are originally residents of Farooq Bazar Ajwatari, Fulbari Kurigram, Bangladesh.

During police interrogation, these persons did not produce any valid Indian identity card and admitted that they had entered India illegally through the river more than a decade ago. Officials said that a photocopy of the Bangladeshi identity card has also been recovered from them.

The suspects were handed over to the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO) after legal formalities and verification, from where they were transferred to the deportation center to be sent back to Bangladesh. A senior police officer said that this action reflects our zero tolerance policy towards illegal infiltration, and we are committed to maintaining internal security and the rule of law.

Delhi Police illegally arrested 9 Bangladeshi nationals from Wazirpur JJ Colony of Bharat Nagar police station area of ​​​​North-West district. Police said that during the raid, a smartphone was recovered from them, which had a banned IMO application. Investigation also revealed that these people had entered India through the Cooch Behar border. The arrested persons included Mohammed Saidul Islam (45), Najma Begum (42), Najmul Ali (23), Ajina Begum (20), Apple Ali (19), Laden Ali (17), Eidul Ali (8), Shaida Akhtar (6) and Aryan Ali.
