Farooq Abdullah’s Big Statement on New Delhi

Former J\&K CM Farooq Abdullah warned that New Delhi may have to regret its decisions one day.

Farooq Abdullah Attack On Modi Government: Former Jammu and Kashmir CM and National Conference President Farooq Abdullah has attacked the Modi government. Demanding restoration of full statehood to Jammu and Kashmir, Farooq Abdullah said that New Delhi will have to regret it one day. He said that restoring full statehood is a question of justice and equality. Abdullah said that people's trust is weakening and the government should fulfill its promise.

It has been 5 years since Article 370 was removed from the Constitution. At the same time, the opposition is still standing against it. Former Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah has said that the central government should return the state status to Jammu and Kashmir in time. Otherwise, New Delhi will have to regret its decisions. He clearly said that the unilateral decisions taken after August 2019 have increased the distance instead of instilling confidence in the people.

Abdullah met the delegation led by MLA Abdul Majeed Bhat Larmi from Anantnag West. According to PTI, the workers informed him about organisational issues and public relations campaigns. During this, the leaders also discussed the current situation and the concerns of the public. During this conversation, Abdullah said that the Center has repeatedly missed opportunities to win the trust of the people. The security-based approach has always dominated efforts to build trust. He said that the massive participation of the public in the 2024 assembly elections makes it clear that people have faith in the Indian Constitution and democracy, but not restoring the state status is contrary to that faith.

NC's commitment reiterated

The National Conference president clearly said that his party will continue to struggle for the rights and welfare of the people through peaceful and democratic means. He said that the party will continuously raise its voice for the restoration of statehood as well as other constitutional guarantees.

Farooq Abdullah, while asking the central government to restore the full statehood of Jammu and Kashmir without any delay, said that this is not a matter of politics. It is a matter of justice and equality. It is a matter of promises made to the public. The National Conference will continue its efforts to protect the rights and well-being of the people of Jammu and Kashmir and to re-establish the special status of the state and other constitutional guarantees.
