Five Killed in Karur Bus-Van Collision

Tragic accident on Salem-Karur National Highway claims five lives, including two minors

A horrific collision between a private bus and a tourist van near Vennaimalai, Karur district, Tamil Nadu, resulted in five fatalities and 27 injuries. The incident occurred early on Saturday morning when the bus, traveling from Bengaluru to Nagercoil, veered off its lane after hitting a tractor and collided head-on with the van en route to Yercaud from Kovilpatti.

Earlier on May 20, a tragic accident took place in Sivaganga district of Tamil Nadu, in which five workers were killed. A laborer was seriously injured in a rockside in a stone quarry operated by Mega Blue Metal in Malkottai near SS Kottai.
