On National Space Day, PM Modi said India’s journey from Aryabhatta to Gaganyaan is an inspiration for generations. ISRO Chief also revealed the timeline for the launch of the first module.
Today, on 23 August 2025, the country is celebrating National Space Day. On this special day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed and praised the achievements of ISRO. Addressing the countrymen on this occasion, PM Modi said that this time the theme of Space Day is - 'From Aryabhatta to Gaganyaan'. It has the confidence of the past as well as the resolve of the future. Today we are seeing that in such a short time, National Space Day has become an occasion of enthusiasm and attraction among the youth. This is a matter of pride for the country.
I congratulate all the people associated with the space sector, scientists, all the youth on National Space Day. Recently, India has also hosted the International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics. 300 youth from more than 60 countries of the world participated in it. The youth of India have also won medals. ISRO is taking initiatives to increase the interest of youth in space.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that achieving new achievements one after the other in the space sector has become the nature of India and Indian scientists. Just two years ago, India became the first country to create history by reaching the South Pole of the Moon. PM Modi said that we have also become the fourth country in the world to have the capability of docking and undocking in space.
The Prime Minister said that infinite space always makes us feel that there is no stagnation, no final stop. I believe that there should be no final stop at the policy level in the space sector, that is why I said from the Red Fort that our path is reform, perform and transform…
PM Modi said that soon with the hard work of all you scientists, India will also fly Gaganyaan and in the coming time, India will also build its own space station. Right now we have reached the Moon and Mars, now we have to reach those parts of deep space where many important secrets for the future of humanity are hidden. Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, “It has become a habit for India and Indian scientists to create new milestones one after another in the space sector.
