IB Flags 5000 Pakistani Citizens in Delhi, Hands List to Police
The Intelligence Bureau has handed over a list of 5000 Pakistani citizens residing in Delhi to the police, revealing a shocking and concerning figure.
The Intelligence Bureau (IB) has handed over the list of about 5000 Pakistani citizens residing in Delhi to the Delhi Police, so that their return to the country can be ensured. This list has been handed over to the Special Branch of Delhi Police by FRRO and it has also been shared with the concerned districts for further identification and verification. The police have now started the verification process.
This list includes the names of those Hindu Pakistani citizens who have long term visas and who have been granted exemption. This list has been sent to the concerned district for verification, and Pak citizens have been asked to return to their country. The number of Pakistani citizens has been found to be high in Central Delhi and North East District.
The central government has issued a notice for Pakistani citizens on Sunday evening, stating that if any Pakistani citizen does not leave India within the stipulated time limit, he will be arrested and legal action will be taken against him. Such citizens may face three years in jail, a fine of ₹3 lakh, or both.
Delhi Police instructed to take action
A senior official has informed that a meeting has been held in connection with this matter, in which Delhi Police has been instructed to take immediate action. Officers of the Special Branch and Intelligence Bureau of Delhi Police have been assigned the task of collecting information about Pakistani citizens residing in Delhi and asking them to leave India immediately.
