India on Alert Amid Nepal Violence

Indian soldiers intercepted Gen-Z protesters who reached the border amid unrest in Nepal.

 

Nepal Protest India Alert News 22 people have died so far in the violence that broke out in Nepal after the ban on corruption and social media. After the growing protest, PM KP Sharma Oli resigned. Air India and Indigo canceled flights to Kathmandu. The airport of Nepal's capital has been temporarily closed.

Vigilance has been increased in the Indian border area due to the rebellion of youth against the Nepal government and the violence arising from it. Police teams are constantly on alert mode in the areas adjoining UP, Bihar, Bengal, Uttarakhand. Business activities have also been affected in these areas. On Tuesday, the agitators reached the Indian border area near Galgalia in Bihar while committing arson, who were chased away by SSB jawans.

Kishanganj SP Sagar Kumar took stock of the Galgalia border area with SSB. All India-Nepal borders have been sealed. Bihar Police Headquarters has specially alerted the seven border districts of West Champaran, East Champaran, Sitamarhi, Madhubani, Supaul, Araria and Kishanganj. On the other hand, security has been increased at Sonauli, Thuthibari, Barhni, Khunua and Kakarhawa border of UP and traffic has been completely stopped.

Patrolling intensified in border areas
The effect of Nepal violence is visible till Shravasti, Bahraich and Balrampur. The movement of tourists on the Nepal border has been completely banned. Needy local people are also being allowed to come and go only after investigation and questioning. Bihar's Additional Director General of Police (ADG) Pankaj Darad said that the team of Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) is jointly patrolling the border areas along with the police.

Vigilance is also being maintained on the border
If any Indian is stranded on the other side of the border, then efforts will be made to evacuate them as well. For this, continuous feedback is being taken from SP to DIG level officers. Vigilance is also being maintained on the border adjoining Bihar's Bhagalpur and Muzaffarpur.

A flag march was carried out by the police

Kishanganj SP Sagar Kumar inspected the Galgalia border area along with the SSB. All India-Nepal borders have been sealed. Indian vehicles are being prevented from going to Nepal for security reasons at the Jogbani border. A flag march was carried out by the SSB and police in Sikti.

The fire of violence reached the Siliguri border

More than a dozen government offices were set on fire by the agitators in Kankarbhitta and Bhadrapur adjoining Siliguri. The 41st battalion of the SSB and the soldiers of the Siliguri Frontier posted on the border have been put on high alert. The general movement between the two countries has almost stopped.

Control room and helpline started

The police started naka checking at Panitanki border in Darjeeling district. Dog squad has been deployed. Darjeeling Superintendent of Police Praveen Prakash said that there is constant contact with Nepal Police and a control room and helpline have been started to help the Indians stranded in Nepal.

Vigilance increased on Uttarakhand borders

Police and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) deployed for monitoring the border area on the borders with Uttarakhand have jointly intensified patrolling. On the instructions of Pithoragarh Superintendent of Police Rekha Yadav, police and SSB personnel patrolled the banks of Kali river and sensitive areas in the border police station areas under the leadership of CO Govind Ballabh Joshi and KS Rawat. To keep an eye on every suspicious activity on the border, the police appealed to the general public to immediately inform.

High alert in UP districts bordering the border

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given instructions for 24-hour strict surveillance in the districts of the state bordering Nepal. DGP Rajiv Krishna said that additional police and PAC have been deployed in the border districts. Special arrangements have been made to help the Indians stranded in Nepal.

Helpline number released
A special control room has been set up under ADG Law and Order Amitabh Yash. Three helpline numbers and one WhatsApp number have been issued for the control room set up in the law and order branch. These numbers will work 24 hours. Indian citizens will be able to get direct help by calling on helpline numbers 0522-2390257, 0522-2724010 and 9454401674 and WhatsApp number 9454401674.
