MatCare Pune Launches Janani Arogya Shibir to Expand Access to Women’s Health and Antenatal Care

On the occasion of MatCare's first anniversary, MatCare Maternity & Child Hospital announced the launch of Janani Arogya Shibir at the Symbiosis Auditorium, Clover Park, Viman Nagar, Pune. 

This initiative, in collaboration which reflects MatCare's continued commitment to improving access to timely, specialised, and compassionate care for women and expectant mothers in Pune. One of the camps will be held at Common Wing B, No. 232, H No. 1 2, Anand Emerald sr, Viman Nagar Road, Pune, Maharashtra – 411014. 

The event was inaugurated by Hon'ble Shri Mansukh Mandaviya, Union Cabinet Minister, Government of India, who released the ANC handbook and formally launched the 100-camp network reaching communities across Pune. Senior leadership, including Dr. Nikhil Yadav, CEO, MatCare; Dr. Pravin Thokal, Gynaecologist, MatCare Pune; Dr. Vrushali Bichkar, National Neonatology Head, MatCare; Dr. Amol Lunkad, Medical Superintendent, MatCare and Zonal Business Director, Indira IVF; and Dr. Ishita Lunkad, Facility Director, MatCare, attended the successful launch.

Janani Arogya Shibir brings free antenatal and women's health consultations directly to communities through the 100 antenatal camps across Pune on the same day, while the ANC handbook provides lasting guidance for expectant mothers. Through this comprehensive initiative, MatCare aims to encourage preventive care, early diagnosis, and greater awareness around maternal wellness across Pune.

Hon'ble Shri Mansukh Mandaviya shared, "The launch of Janani Arogya Shibir with 100 antenatal camps and an ANC handbook represents a transformative step in maternal healthcare delivery. This collaboration demonstrates how public-private partnerships can scale essential health services to the community level, strengthening India's maternal health infrastructure."
