Modi Government to Boost Defense Budget Post Operation Sindoor

Following the successful completion of Operation Sindoor, the Modi government is set to significantly increase defense spending, aiming to strengthen the armed forces with additional resources and modern capabilities. The new budget infusion is expected to include a strategic “booster dose” for the army, focusing on advanced equipment, welfare, and operational readiness.

 
 

After successfully carrying out Operation Sindoor, the Indian Army is being praised everywhere. The Indian Army not only displayed its bravery but also made the entire countrymen proud. Many modern weapons were used during this operation. Now the Modi government at the Centre can increase the defence budget. Approval is expected in the winter session.

After the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, India took a strong action against terrorism and destroyed 9 terrorist hideouts in Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Kashmir. During Operation Sindoor, the Indian Army displayed its bravery and made the entire country proud.

Now the Modi government at the Centre can increase the defence budget after Operation Sindoor. This budget is expected to be spent on the purchase of new weapons and ammunition as well as technology.

An additional provision of Rs 50 thousand crore has been proposed through the supplementary budget and it is expected to be approved during the winter session of Parliament.

A record Rs 6.81 lakh crore has been allocated for defence in the Union Budget, which is 9.53 per cent higher than the previous financial year. The defence budget has increased more than three times in the 10 years since the NDA government came to power at the Centre.
