Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to visit the BJP headquarters in New Delhi on Friday evening, where he is likely to address party workers as the NDA appears poised to form the next government in Bihar. The visit aligns with the party’s practice of marking major electoral gains with a direct address from the Prime Minister.
Party leaders said preparations at the headquarters were underway through the afternoon, with senior office-bearers coordinating arrangements for the event. Modi’s appearance is expected to serve both as a thanksgiving gesture and a signal of continuity in the BJP-led coalition’s political momentum.
If the NDA secures another term in Bihar, this will be the latest in a series of recent electoral endorsements the Prime Minister has publicly acknowledged. Over the past year, Modi has made three similar visits to party headquarters following key victories.
On November 23, 2024, he addressed workers in Mumbai after the Mahayuti alliance’s win in Maharashtra, delivering a 49-minute speech bookended by the slogans “Jai Bhavani, Jai Shivaji,” “Bharat Mata Ki Jai,” and “Vande Mataram.” Earlier, on October 8, 2024, he spoke for 35 minutes in Delhi after the BJP secured major victories in Haryana and Jammu & Kashmir, using the platform to critique the Congress’s political strategy and highlight what he termed its “divisive approach.”
His first headquarters visit of the year came on June 4, 2024, after the NDA formed the government at the Centre for a third consecutive term. In that 34-minute address, Modi thanked supporters nationwide, referencing the BJP eight times and the NDA ten times while underscoring the coalition’s collective mandate.
Friday’s expected appearance comes at a moment of heightened political activity, with the BJP leadership keen to project stability and renewed confidence ahead of upcoming state polls. Party officials indicated that the Prime Minister is likely to emphasise organisational discipline, coalition unity, and the significance of Bihar’s mandate in shaping the NDA’s national trajectory.
