Modi government has announced the date of the monsoon session of Parliament. The monsoon session of Parliament will start from July 21, which will run till August 12. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju gave this information on Wednesday. With the announcement of the monsoon session, the Modi government has rejected the opposition's demand to call a special session on Operation Sindoor. The opposition is constantly targeting the Modi government over the sudden ceasefire in the India-Pakistan war and the claim of the fall of Rafale. This will be the first Parliament session after the completion of one year of Modi government 3.0.
In the monsoon session starting on July 21, discussions are expected on Pakistan, Operation Sindoor, national security, economy and many bills. Also, the monsoon session is expected to be quite tumultuous. It is believed that if the government does not accept the demand for a special session, there are chances of uproar in the monsoon session. The government said that it is ready to discuss every issue under the rules.
Kiren Rijiju said - The government is ready to discuss any topic in the session under the rules. He also told that an impeachment motion can be presented against Justice Verma during the session. Rijiju said that Operation Sindoor will be discussed during the session. The Union Minister said, every session is special and we will discuss all issues including Operation Sindoor. He further said, the government wants everyone to be taken along - we have contacted the opposition and hope that everyone will take a united stand.
Meanwhile, the Cabinet Committee on Parliamentary Affairs has sent a proposal related to the dates of the monsoon session to President Draupadi Murmu. According to the information, the proposal sent by the government talks about calling the monsoon session between July 21 and August 12. This first session after Operation Sindoor is expected to be tumultuous. The government says that if the opposition demands a discussion under the rules during the upcoming monsoon session of Parliament, then we are ready to discuss the Pahalgam terror attack and Operation Sindoor. During the upcoming session, the government is also preparing to bring an impeachment motion against Justice Yashwant Verma of the Allahabad High Court.
