Muslim scholars welcomed RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat's appeal for unity and said that misunderstandings should be removed from both sides. Presenting a benign and modern image of the RSS, Bhagwat had said on Thursday that Islam will always have a place in India. He had dismissed speculations of differences with the BJP and said that Akhand Bharat is an immutable reality.

In the Q&A session that lasted for two and a half hours, the Sarsanghchalak answered questions ranging from Manusmriti to Artificial Intelligence, tariff, caste, education, patriotism, partition, infiltration, attacks on Muslims and retirement age of politicians. Muslim scholars welcomed the remarks of the RSS chief about Islam and the Muslim community and said that we should come together and take the country on the path of progress in a good environment.
Bhagwat said- Hinduism does not oppose any other religion
Bhagwat has said that Hinduism does not oppose any other religion. In a way, he has supported Islam. We welcome this.
Mahli also welcomed Bhagwat's statement that the RSS will not participate in any movement to reclaim Kashi and Mathura. He called it a good initiative, but expressed a different opinion from his view on the number of children in Indian families.
He said- What happened in the Ayodhya case, how much damage was done to the country, is in front of everyone. Such things should not be repeated. Raising the temple-mosque issue again and again harms the people and the country.
Opposition parties accused Bhagwat of making contradictory statements
The Congress targeted Bhagwat for his remarks that he never said that he would retire or anyone else should retire at the age of 75. The Congress said that in more than a month he has made contradictory statements.

Owaisi made these allegations
AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi alleged that the organizations sponsored and supported by the RSS spread hatred against Muslims. In fact, hatred against Muslims has been institutionalized during the tenure of Narendra Modi. And praised the views of the Sangh chief on the Muslims of India.
