Operation Sindhu: 290 Indian Students Return from Iran

Under Operation Sindhu, a special flight carrying 290 Indian students from Iran safely landed in Delhi. The atmosphere was filled with emotion as returnees chanted ‘Hindustan Zindabad’, expressing gratitude for their safe evacuation.

Under Operation Sindhu, a plane of Iranian airline Mahan Air carrying Indians stranded in Iran landed at IGI Airport at 11.25 pm on Friday. As soon as the plane landed on the runway, a wave of happiness ran among the passengers. A large number of relatives were waiting for them outside the terminal.

This Mahan Air plane (flight number W 5071) carrying 290 Indian citizens took off for New Delhi on Friday at 6:30 pm Indian time from Imam Khomeini International Airport in Tehran.

The plane came to India via Afghanistan and then Pakistan

After crossing the air border from Iran to Afghanistan and then Pakistan, the plane entered Rajasthan directly. After this, it entered the New Delhi air border at around 11:22 am via Haryana. After getting clearance from ATC, the plane landed at 11:25.

As soon as they landed on the runway, the passengers clapped in joy and shouted slogans of Bharat Mata Ki Jai. Earlier, the first batch of Indians had arrived via Armenia on Thursday morning under Operation Sindhu, which was started for the return of Indians stranded in Iran.

Return of the second batch of Indians

This is the return of the second batch of Indians under Operation Sindhu. But this will be the first batch to reach New Delhi directly from Iranian soil. On Saturday, two more planes are reaching New Delhi from Iran.
