Operation Sindoor: High level meeting at PM's residence, NSA also attended along with Home Minister
New Delhi. On Friday evening, Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a high level meeting with Home Minister Amit Shah, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and National Security Advisor Ajit Doval at his residence at 7 Lok Kalyan Marg. However, no official statement came out regarding the meeting. But it is believed that the meeting would have discussed the situation after Operation Sindoor.
It is being told that this high level meeting ended at around 7 pm on Friday evening. But what was the agenda of this meeting, no official statement came from the government. However, it is believed that the situation would have been discussed after the action taken to target terrorist hideouts in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
Before the meeting, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said on Friday that 'Operation Sindoor' is a reflection of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's determination, accurate intelligence gathering by various agencies and the unerring firepower of the Indian armed forces. Shah said this after inaugurating a new centre in Delhi aimed at sharing intelligence among various agencies. This multi-agency centre under the Intelligence Bureau was set up after the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks with the aim of sharing timely information among various stakeholders involved in law enforcement.
Under 'Operation Sindoor', India carried out precision strikes on terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir in the early hours of May 7 in response to the terror attack in Pahalgam on April 22. India and Pakistan agreed to stop military action on May 10. However, India has made it clear that it has only stopped its operation and its future action will depend on Pakistan's conduct. Prime Minister Modi had said that Operation Sindoor is India's new policy against terrorism and the country's unwavering pledge for justice.
