PM Modi’s 75th Birthday Marked with Mega Health Camp in Gujarat

On the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 75th birthday, the RK HIV AIDS Research and Care Center and Doctor 365 organized the “Namo Amrit Maha Arogya Camp” in Maninagar, Ahmedabad.

The virtual inauguration was led by Prime Minister Modi himself, while Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and State Health Minister Hrishikesh Patel attended the event as guests of honor.

The health camp, held at Kamal Ground in Sarvodaya Nagar, Khokhra, provided free medical services on a massive scale. The initiative included health checkups, distribution of medicines, eye screenings, spectacles, wheelchairs, and health cards — all free of cost.

75,000 People Benefited

Organized under the leadership of Dr. Dharmendra Kumar, Chairman of the Guinness World Record-holding RK HIV AIDS Research and Care Center, the camp witnessed participation from 75,000 patients. The distribution drive included 1,700 wheelchairs, 25,000 spectacles, and nutrition kits worth ₹75,000. The program was also supported by MP Dinesh Makwana’s constituency.

Decades of Service to Public Health

The RK HIV AIDS Research and Care Center is globally recognized for hosting the largest free health camps, with over 33,000 camps held across India. The organization has been instrumental in spreading HIV/AIDS awareness, TB control, cancer screening, and mobile medical care for more than two decades.

Millions of people across Gujarat, Maharashtra, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Bihar have benefitted from their initiatives. Hundreds of doctors contribute regularly to these efforts, ensuring free medicines, eye care, spectacles, nutrition kits, and specialized treatments.

Landmark Achievements

The organization has distributed life-saving medicines worth over ₹1,500 crore and provided more than 15 million free spectacles. Over 3.4 million wheelchairs and 117,000 TB treatment kits have been given to patients. Additionally, more than 420,000 cervical cancer screenings and 780,000 sickle cell and anemia treatments have been conducted. The center also operates 56 mobile medical units and 24 ambulance services across India, extending healthcare to remote regions.

Dr. Dharmendra Kumar emphasized that their mission is aligned with the national goal of a TB-free India and expressed commitment to continue expanding healthcare access for the underprivileged.
