PM Modi to inaugurate UER-2 in Delhi tomorrow

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will gift Delhi the Urban Extension Road-2 (UER-2) tomorrow. Delhi Police has issued a traffic advisory, urging commuters to avoid certain routes during the event.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Urban Extension Road-2 (UER-2) in Rohini on Sunday. As a result, this road will be closed for vehicles, which may affect traffic on Bhagwan Mahavir Road, Bawana Road, Kanjhawala Road, Kanjhawala Link Road and Badshah Dahiya Marg. The Delhi Traffic Police has issued an advisory urging residents to avoid these routes and consider using alternative routes. Nearby residents are advised to use alternatives such as KN Katju Marg and Rohini Jail Marg.

According to the traffic police advice, the movement of commercial vehicles will be restricted on the roads from Ring Road to Rohini between 6 am and 2 pm.

Commercial vehicles will not be allowed beyond the following locations: Madhuban Chowk, Outer Ring Road at KN Katju Marg crossing, Outer Ring Road at Jail Road crossing, Deepali Chowk, Jaipur Golden Hospital crossing, Mahadev Chowk, Pansali Chowk, Kali Chowk, Wazirpur Depot, Sanjay Gandhi Transport Nagar, UER-2, Bawana Road, Barwala Chowk, Rohini Sector 35-36 crossing and Kabutar Chowk.

Commuters travelling from Mukarba Chowk or Madhuban Chowk towards Nangloi are advised to avoid UER-2, Madhuban Chowk, Bhagwan Mahavir Marg and other connecting roads. Instead, they should use Peeragarhi and turn right onto Rohtak Road to reach their destination. Only those attending the event will be allowed to proceed beyond Kali Chowk on Bhagwan Mahavir Marg.
