Former Jharkhand CM Shibu Soren's mortal remains leave for his native village; top leaders including Rahul Gandhi to attend final rite
Former Jharkhand Chief Minister and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) founder Shibu Soren will be cremated with state honors in his native village today, Tuesday (August 5). The 81-year-old 'Dishom Guru' died on August 4 at Sir Gangaram Hospital in Delhi, where he was battling kidney disease and a recent stroke for a long time. His body was brought from Delhi to Ranchi on the evening of August 4, where the general public and leaders paid tribute to him throughout the night. Today at 9 am, his body was kept for the last darshan in the Ranchi Assembly premises, and he will be cremated at 3 pm. Shibu Soren's body has left from Jharkhand Vidhan Sabha for Ramgarh, his native village. In Nemra, the former Chief Minister will be cremated by his younger son Basant Soren.
Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, MLA Kalpana Soren, former Chief Minister Raghuvar Das, Champai Soren, Babulal Marandi and other prominent leaders have paid tribute at the last rites. These leaders are also likely to attend the funeral. Lok Sabha MP from Purnia Pappu Yadav has reached Ranchi, while Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi are also heading towards Ranchi to join the last rites. Apart from this, former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar Tejashwi Yadav has also left for Ranchi, and TMC MPs Shatabdi Roy and Derek O'Brien have also reached Ranchi.
Shibu Soren's last rites will be held at Nemra village in Ramgarh district, for which the administration has made extensive preparations. Other administrative officials including Deputy Commissioner and Superintendent of Police have been deployed. Special arrangements have been made for traffic and security at the funeral site, as political personalities from many states are likely to arrive.

Shibu Soren's body was brought from Delhi to Ranchi via a special plane. Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren and his MLA wife Kalpana Soren were also present in this plane. On this occasion, thousands of people, who knew their beloved leader as Dishom Guru, gathered outside Birsa Munda Airport and along the roads to pay their last respects.

Workers and leaders of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha paid their last respects to their leader by raising slogans of 'Dishom Guru Amar Rahe'. Thousands of people gathered for the last darshan of Shibu Soren. His body was brought from the airport to his residence in Morhabadi, where a huge crowd was present.
