Shubhanshu Shukla has successfully landed on Earth as the spacecraft touched down in the Pacific Ocean, marking a safe and successful return from space.

Indian astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla has landed on earth today along with three other astronauts of the Axiom-4 space mission. Indian Air Force Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla's Axiom-4 Mission has returned to Earth today after undocking from the International Space Station (ISS).

Let us tell you that the crew undocked from the ISS on July 14 at 4:35 pm Indian time and landed in the Pacific Ocean near the coast of California on Tuesday, July 15 at 3 pm Indian time. Axiom-4 mission has splashed down in the sea off the coast of California, USA at 3 pm today with the help of Dragon spacecraft parachute.

Let us tell you that Shubhanshu Shukla has become the second Indian to travel to space after Rakesh Sharma (1984). The SpaceX Dragon spacecraft, carrying Shukla and three other astronauts as part of the Axiom-4 mission, successfully undocked from the Harmony module of the International Space Station (ISS) on Monday at around 7:05 a.m. EDT (4:35 p.m. Indian time).

This space journey was special for Shubhnshu Shukla in many ways. He has become the first Indian to reach the International Space Station (ISS). Earlier, in 1984, Rakesh Sharma flew to space under Soviet Russia's Salute-7 mission. Now Shukla has become the second Indian to travel to space. ISRO has spent about Rs 550 crore for this mission. This mission is considered a milestone for ISRO's human space flight program 'Gaganyaan', which is to be launched in 2027. This experience of Shukla will prove to be very useful in preparing for that mission.
