Assembly By‑elections Ongoing in 5 Seats Across 4 States

By‑polls are underway today, June 19, 2025, for five assembly seats: Visavadar & Kadi in Gujarat, Nilambur in Kerala, Kaliganj in West Bengal, and Ludhiana West in Punjab.
Voting has started today on June 19, 2025 for the assembly by-elections (Assembly Bypolls 2025) in four states of India. Votes are being cast for the assembly by-elections in Nilambur in Kerala, Ludhiana West in Punjab, Kaliganj in West Bengal and Visavadar and Kadi in Gujarat.
Voting percentage till 11 am in the assembly by-election:
Visavadar: 12.10%
Kadi: 9.05%
Nilambur: 13.15%
Ludhiana West: 8.50%
Kaliganj: 10.83%
Mock-polling was conducted at polling station number 184 at Government Lower Primary School, Vettikuth, Nilambur Assembly constituency, Kerala. Voting for the assembly constituency (Assembly By-election 2025) started at 7 am. LDF has fielded M Swaraj, UDF has fielded Aryadan Shaukat and BJP has fielded Advocate Mohan George. Voting for the Nilambur by-election began at 7 am. From the start of voting till 9 am, 13.15% voting has been recorded.
Voting has also begun for the by-election in West Bengal's Kaliganj assembly constituency. Presiding officer of booth number 171 of Debgram DK Girls High School in the area, Pradyut Mallick said, "Good arrangements have been made by the Election Commission and security is also good."

He said that after seeing everything, we are confident that the voting will be peaceful. Mock-polling has been done and everything is going smoothly. There are 1174 voters at this polling station.
