A fresh political confrontation has erupted in Jammu and Kashmir after the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) challenged Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to substantiate his allegations that the party was attempting to poach National Conference (NC) legislators. The BJP has warned that it will initiate defamation proceedings if the Chief Minister fails to produce evidence or withdraw his remarks.

Mumbai: Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis’ recent remarks suggesting that there is no need to induct leaders from opposition parties into the ruling Mahayuti alliance have triggered fresh political discussions in the state.
