BJP MP Nishikant Dubey slammed Raj Thackeray, saying, “Even a dog is a lion in his own house,” and challenged him to act against Urdu-speaking people if he truly has courage.
BJP MP Nishikant Dubey has also jumped into the ongoing conflict over Hindi-Marathi in Maharashtra. Nishikant Dubey has given a direct challenge to Raj Thackeray in the case of assault on Hindi speaking people in Mumbai and Pune. He told those who beat up Hindi speaking people that even a dog is a lion in their own house. If you have the courage, then kill the Urdu speaking people. This statement of Nishikant Dubey came at a time when Uddhav Thackeray and Raj Thackeray have united in opposition to Hindi.
BJP MP from Jharkhand Nishikant Dubey, while giving an open challenge to those who kill Hindi speaking people, wrote on his social media platform X, "If those who kill Hindi speaking people in Mumbai have the courage, then kill Urdu speaking people in Maharashtra. Even a dog is a lion in his own house? Decide for yourself who is a dog and who is a lion. Nishikant Dubey has also posted this in Marathi.
Let us tell you that even before this, Nishikant Dubey had raised the issue of politics regarding the language of Maharashtra and linking it to the situation of Kashmiri Pandits, wrote on X, "What is the difference between Shiv Sena, MNS's Raj Thackeray and NCP's Pawar Sahab in Mumbai and Salauddin and Maulana Masood Azhar who drove away Kashmiri Hindus in Kashmir and Dawood Ibrahim who tortured Hindus in Mumbai? One tortured because he was not a Hindu and the other is now torturing because he speaks Hindi?"
Apart from Nishikant Dubey, other BJP leaders have also challenged those who attack Hindi speakers. Minister Nitesh Rane had asked Urdu speakers to speak in Hindi. Not only this, he had also accused the Thackeray brothers of dividing the Hindu society.
Actually, recently, workers of Raj Thackeray's party Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) had beaten up a shopkeeper for not speaking Marathi. The police have registered an FIR in this case. On Saturday evening, MNS workers had beaten up the owner of Jodhpur Sweets located near Balaji Hotel on Mira Road. The video of this assault is going viral on social media. In the video, MNS workers are heard asking the shopkeeper to speak in Marathi. They are objecting to speaking Hindi.
