Nitish Kumar Urges Chapra Voters to Back NDA for Continued Development, Warns Against 'Jungle Raj' Return

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar rallied thousands in Manjhi, Chapra, on Thursday, urging voters to reject chaos-makers and re-elect NDA candidates to ensure uninterrupted development. Addressing supporters for JDU’s Randhir Singh (Manjhi) and Manoranjan Singh alias Dhoomal (Ekma), Kumar warned against returning to the “Jungle Raj” era before 2005.

“Since our government came in 2005, we’ve focused only on development,” Kumar said in his 10-minute speech. “Before that, people feared stepping out after evening. Homes stayed locked. Don’t vote for those who did nothing but create chaos—elect us, and progress will continue.”

Highlighting pre-2005 struggles, Kumar recalled widespread disputes, Hindu-Muslim tensions, crumbling education, and absent infrastructure. “Roads were broken, electricity scarce, women neglected,” he said. “They made their wife Chief Minister after just seven days amid turmoil. With Centre’s support, we transformed Bihar.”

Under Kumar’s leadership, Bihar now boasts better roads, 24/7 electricity, free bicycles and uniforms for students, and improved healthcare. “No fear, no intimidation—only love and brotherhood,” he emphasized, crediting job creation and women-centric schemes.

The rally gains significance amid political turbulence in Manjhi. BJP leader Rana Pratap Singh, denied a ticket, is contesting as an independent, challenging NDA unity. Kumar’s direct appeal aims to consolidate votes and counter the rebellion.

As Bihar heads to polls, Kumar positions NDA as the guardian of stability and growth. “We ended Jungle Raj; don’t let it return,” he urged.

With development versus disruption at stake, Chapra’s voters face a crucial choice. Nitish Kumar’s track record—from lawlessness to progress—remains his strongest pitch.
