NDA Finalizes Seat Sharing in Bihar

With the seat sharing formula set, speculation grows over the political future of Chirag Paswan and Manjhi.

The tussle over seat sharing continues within the NDA. LJP (R) wants 40+ seats and HAM wants 15 seats while NDA is thinking of giving half the seats. Chirag Paswan and Manjhi are vocal while Kushwaha is also eyeing the seats. BJP-JDU will contest on almost equal number of seats, which will leave less scope for other parties. HAM is expecting respectable seats.

While Chirag and Manjhi's party is vocal about ticket sharing, Upendra Kushwaha is silent, but he is also eyeing eight to ten seats.

In fact, there has been no official discussion among the allies regarding ticket distribution in NDA, but the parties have been told their rough share in gestures.

According to sources, both BJP-JDU will contest on equal number of seats this time. These seats can be between 99 to 101. In such a scenario, the maximum scope for the three parties (LJP (R), HAM, RLSP) is between 41-45 seats.
