Ahead of the Bihar Assembly elections, political activity is heating up across the state. BJP state president Dilip Jaiswal called opposition leaders “jumlebaz” (habitual promise-makers) and claimed that people no longer trust them. Union Minister Lalan Singh praised the public’s faith in Chhath Puja and questioned RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav’s vision of change, asserting that Nitish Kumar has already brought development to Bihar.
PM Modi’s Bihar schedule
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to hold a roadshow in Patna on 2 November. Prior to this, he may participate in Chhath rituals on 28 October, and is scheduled for rallies in Muzaffarpur and Chhapra on 30 October, as well as an event in Nawada. Modi recently shared Chhath greetings and folk songs on social media, celebrating the festival’s faith and traditions.

JD(U) cracks down on rebels
JD(U) expelled 16 rebel leaders in two days, including former four-time MLA Gopal Mandal, former minister Himraj Singh, former MLC Sanjeev Shyam Singh, and others. Mandal, denied a ticket in favor of Bulo Mandal, has filed as an independent but claims continued alignment with Nitish Kumar.
