AAP Slams BJP Over Costly Phone Purchase Order

AAP criticizes BJP, stating they've come to end a 27-year hunger, following the Delhi government's controversial order to purchase expensive phones for the Chief Minister and ministers.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has strongly reacted to the order of the BJP government in Delhi to buy expensive phones for the Chief Minister and ministers. AAP leader and MLA Anil Jha said that the anti-poor BJP government is celebrating in times of crisis. He also said that the government is planning to buy the latest mobile phones for the CM and ministers, while they already have telephone facilities available.

The BJP government is now going to waste lakhs of rupees of Delhiites' tax in buying mobile phones, while the promises of giving Rs 2500 to women, laptops to girl students and jobs to the youth are unfulfilled. The promises made to the people of Delhi may not have been fulfilled, but the BJP ministers need new cars, security, expensive phones and other facilities. It is clear that these people have not come to run the government, but to end their hunger of 27 years.

MLA Anil Jha said in a press conference held at the party headquarters on Monday that when a party comes to power, the influence of power gradually diverts attention from its core issues. He also mentioned that the working style of the ministers and the Chief Minister of the BJP government of Delhi makes it clear how the influence of power dominates the mind.

The BJP government has presented a budget of 1 lakh crore, but the promise of giving Rs 2,500 to the women of Delhi was not fulfilled. Apart from this, the pension of the elderly has also been stopped, and the pension of 80 thousand women was cut by declaring them ineligible. The pension of destitute sisters and widows has also been removed, alleging that these were given wrongly.

BJP government issued order

Anil Jha said that the government directive clearly mentions that the Chief Minister can buy a phone worth Rs 1.25 lakh to Rs 1.5 lakh and also has the right to get a new phone after two years. He also said that BJP describes itself as bound by the ideas of the Sangh, but is it really so?
