BJP leader Shahzad Poonawala targeted Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi over his tweet criticizing External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar and accused him of spreading fake news.
He said that Rahul Gandhi and Congress are a fake news factory, this is not the first time that Congress is spreading such lies, which can be misused by Pakistan. Rahul Gandhi had also spread lies about the surgical strike, Balakot airstrike and Pulwama incident.
Poonawala said that Rahul Gandhi's statements on Article 370 were included in Pakistan's dossier. Congress had begged for help from Pakistan to remove the Modi government. He alleged that Mani Shankar Aiyar went to Pakistan at the behest of Sonia Gandhi and sought help in removing Modi.
He also criticized Rahul for promoting Pakistan's narrative. On the other hand, the BJP has hit back at the Congress' allegation of not including Rahul in the delegation formed to expose Pakistan's terrorism.
Merit is suppressed in Congress: BJP
BJP leader Gaurav Vallabh said that merit is suppressed in the Congress and questioned why the party hates its leader so much. The central government has appointed Congress MP Shashi Tharoor to lead the delegation going to the US, Panama, Guyana, Brazil and Colombia. Vallabh has claimed that the Congress is against Shashi Tharoor leading the delegation as it does not believe in rewarding merit.
