CM Hemant Soren expresses fear over Constitution Amendment Bill

Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren alleged that a big agenda of the Centre is hidden behind the Constitution Amendment Bill, raising concerns over its impact.

Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Thursday attacked the BJP government at the Center on the last day of the monsoon session of the Assembly. He said that by bringing the 130th Constitution Amendment Bill, the central government is playing a big hidden game. He also accused the BJP of constantly cheating Jharkhand and the tribals. Let us tell you that, like Kejriwal, Hemant Soren has also gone to jail once while being the CM.

CM Soren said that it is beyond understanding why such an amendment was brought, which provides that if a minister is sentenced to 30 days or more in jail, he will be removed from the post. He said, “There is a big agenda hidden behind this bill, which we are not able to understand right now, but it will become clear in the coming time.

Targeting the Election Commission and central agencies
The Chief Minister accused the BJP of using the Election Commission for its political benefit. He claimed that the names of lakhs of voters in Bihar were removed with the help of the Election Commission.

Not only this, he said that whoever opposes the central government is implicated in false cases through agencies like ED, CBI and Income Tax Department.

Soren also said that the central government has given protection to the Election Commission by making such a law that the Chief Election Commissioner and Election Commissioners will not have to face any legal action for the decisions taken during their tenure.

The CM accused the BJP of doing show-off politics in the name of tribals. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurates schemes worth crores from Khunti on the birth anniversary of Birsa Munda, but no effect of those schemes is visible on the ground.

He said, “We have inaugurated schemes worth crores on the birth anniversary of Birsa Munda I had invited President Draupadi Murmu, but it was rejected. The Prime Minister came and made big promises, but nothing changed in reality.”
