CM Yogi Acts on Thakurganj Accident

Taking strict action over the Thakurganj accident, CM Yogi Adityanath suspended the junior engineer and issued a show cause notice to the assistant engineer. Accountability measures have been initiated.
A young man died after falling into a drain in Thakurganj area of the capital Lucknow. Now CM Yogi Adityanath has taken cognizance of this incident. He expressed condolences to the deceased soul and paid tribute. Taking immediate action, CM Yogi has suspended the junior engineer with immediate effect.
CM Yogi has ordered to issue a show cause notice to the Assistant Engineer (AE) regarding the incident. Along with this, instructions have been given to provide financial assistance of 5 lakhs from the Chief Minister's Relief Fund and 4 lakhs from the Disaster Relief Fund to the family of the deceased. During this, Yogi said in clear words that those who are negligent with the safety of the public will not be tolerated.
CM Yogi has ordered the Principal Secretary of the Urban Development Department to ensure accountability regarding the entire matter. Along with this, he has talked about conducting an in-depth investigation of the role of the concerned officers and agencies. He has directed the officials to register a case against the concerned construction agency so that punishment for negligence can be ensured.
During this, CM Yogi said that this is not just an accident but a serious lapse in the administrative system. Which needs to be corrected with immediate effect. The state government is extremely serious about such incidents. It will be ensured that such unfortunate recurrences do not happen in future.
