The Congress party has demanded that the 2024 Lok Sabha elections be declared null and void, alleging the presence of fake names in voter lists. The party called it a serious threat to democracy and sought immediate corrective action.
Responding to the BJP's claim of lakhs of fake voters in the constituencies of some prominent opposition leaders, the Congress on Wednesday said that the figures shared by the ruling party show its collusion with the Election Commission and the 2024 Lok Sabha elections should be considered null and void as they were held on the basis of these fake voter lists.
Congress demands voter list of Varanasi
The Congress also demanded the electronic voter list of the Varanasi parliamentary constituency from where Prime Minister Narendra Modi won the election contest. The party said that it should come out before the people whether he really won or not?
Congress media chief Pawan Khera said that the figures released by BJP leader Anurag Thakur are proof of crime. He demanded that this proof be handed over to him within 24 hours so that we can investigate. The Congress leader alleged that the entire 2024 general election was conducted on fake voter lists.
Kheda said- "Anurag Thakur has released data of five-six Lok Sabha constituencies. It took us six months to collect data for just one assembly. Where did he get the electronic voter list? This shows how deeply BJP leaders are connected with the Election Commission."
