Rahul Gandhi alleged that Arun Jaitley had threatened him, prompting BJP to question his statement, pointing out that Jaitley passed away in 2019—raising doubts about Rahul’s claim of meeting him in 2020.
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Saturday made a comment about former Union Minister and late BJP leader Arun Jaitley. Regarding this, the BJP has targeted Rahul and called his statement factually incorrect. Arun Jaitley's son has also criticized Rahul's comment.
Rahul had said about Arun Jaitley that Arun Jaitley had threatened him for raising his voice against the agricultural laws. BJP leader Amit Malviya called it fake news and said that Arun Jaitley died in 2019 itself, while the agricultural laws were implemented in 2020.
Amit Malviya targeted
Malviya wrote on social media site X, 'Rahul Gandhi claims that Arun Jaitley contacted him in 2020 for opposing the agricultural laws. The truth is that Arun Jaitley passed away on 24 August 2019, while the draft of the agricultural bills was brought to the Union Cabinet on 3 June 2020.'
Malviya said that these laws were implemented in September 2020. Therefore, to say that Arun Jaitley had approached him for anything is factually incorrect and misleading. At the same time, Arun Jaitley's son Rohan Jaitley also attacked Rahul. He said, 'I remind Rahul that my father passed away in 2019 and the agricultural laws were introduced in 2020.
