Counting Begins in Kaimur: RJD Leads in Bhabhua, BSP Ahead in Ramgarh

Counting for the Bihar Assembly elections 2025 commenced across the state today. In Kaimur district, the process started at 8 AM at the counting center set up at the Mohania Market Committee, where votes for all four assembly constituencies – Chainpur, Bhabhua, Mohania, and Ramgarh are being tallied simultaneously.

Each assembly segment has 14 counting tables. Counting began at 8:00 AM, with initial trends expected by 9:00 AM. Most seats are expected to see results by noon.

Number of Counting Rounds

Chainpur will have the highest number of counting rounds at 30. Bhabhua and Mohania will see 25 rounds each, while Ramgarh will complete counting in 24 rounds.

Strict Security Measures

Access to the counting hall within a 200-meter radius is completely restricted for the public. Security barriers have been set up at three points on the roads leading to the venue, with police personnel deployed. A three-layer security cordon has been established to protect EVMs, and CCTV cameras monitor the entire counting complex. No unauthorized entry is allowed.

Key Contests Across Kaimur

The elections in Kaimur have drawn attention as the political futures of one current minister and one former minister are at stake. In Chainpur, incumbent Minister Jama Khan (JDU) faces a tough contest against former Minister Brijkishore Bind (RJD). In Bhabhua, RJD candidates are currently leading, while in Ramgarh, BSP candidates hold an edge.

48 Candidates in the Fray

A total of 48 candidates are contesting across the four constituencies. The district administration has deployed strict monitoring to ensure a smooth and peaceful counting process.

Overall, the results from Kaimur are being closely watched as early trends indicate a competitive battle across all constituencies.
