Pappu Yadav and Tejashwi Unite Over Voter List Issue

Opposing the SIR system, Pappu Yadav and Tejashwi Yadav demanded that not a single voter in Bihar be removed during the voter list revision, raising concerns over electoral fairness.

On one hand there is a political uproar in Bihar regarding SIR (Special Summary Revision). The opposition alleges that the Election Commission is working at the behest of the BJP and the names of the poor are being deliberately removed from the voter list. Meanwhile, a statement by Pappu Yadav, independent MP from Purnia, has come out regarding SIR.

MP Pappu Yadav, while talking to news agency ANI, said that, where did the figure of 51 lakh voters, which is being talked about being removed, come from? You are giving figures in the open and saying that Aadhaar card, ration card will not be recognized, on what basis are you doing all this? Tell me, the government is not ready to speak on SIR? Are these people above the public?

He said that, these people who are sitting like Dhritarashtra, we need to shut down the whole of India. All parties should leave all their work and focus on this. What will they do by sitting in the House? When the process of sending only one party to the House is being made and no other party should remain.

Not even a single voter of Bihar should be removed - Tejashwi

On the other hand, today, on the third day of the monsoon session, while talking to the media outside the assembly, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav said, "Who will become the Vice President, who has been removed. This is not our issue. Our issue is that not even a single voter of Bihar should be removed. This is a bigger issue than that."
