Rahul Gandhi Gets Conditional Bail in Chaibasa Court

Rahul Gandhi appeared in Chaibasa court over his alleged objectionable remarks against Amit Shah and was granted conditional bail by the court.

Rahul Gandhi has got bail in the objectionable comment on Home Minister Amit Shah case. Rahul Gandhi appeared in the MP-MLA special court in Chaibasa, Jharkhand today in the defamation case. After hearing, the court granted conditional bail to Rahul Gandhi in the case. The court has granted him bail on the condition of cooperating in the trial.

Actually, BJP leader Pratap Katihar had filed a defamation case. This controversy started after a statement given by Rahul Gandhi on 28 March 2018. Rahul had made objectionable comments on Amit Shah.

Rahul appeared in court at around 10.55 am. Congress MP Rahul Gandhi's lawyer said, "Rahul Gandhi appeared in court as per the instructions of Jharkhand High Court. He had requested bail which was granted. Now we will take the process forward. Advocates Pradeep Chandra and Dipankar Roy presented their case before the court on behalf of Rahul Gandhi.

What was the whole matter

Actually, Rahul had made a controversial statement on the then BJP national president Amit Shah during the Congress session on 28 March 2018. After this, Pratap Katihar filed a defamation case in Chaibasa court on 9 July 2018. Rahul was summoned several times regarding this matter, but he did not appear. The important thing is that the case was first shifted from Chaibasa CJM court to Ranchi MP-MLA Special Court, but after this it came to Chaibasa MP-MLA court.
