Rahul Gandhi to Address Rally in Nalanda’s Nursarai Today: Will Campaign for All Seven Mahagathbandhan Candidates

Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi will address a major public rally in Nursarai, Nalanda, on Thursday. He will arrive in Patna and then travel by road to Sardar Patel Stadium in Chandasi, where he will campaign in support of Mahagathbandhan (Grand Alliance) candidates contesting from all seven assembly constituencies in the district

Senior Congress leaders Krishna Allavaru, Bhupesh Baghel, and Akhilesh Singh are expected to share the stage with him.

Congress Working Committee member and former Madhya Pradesh minister Kamleshwar Patel said the event aims to mobilize public support for Grand Alliance candidates. He added that inflation, corruption, and unemployment will be key themes in Gandhi’s speech.

“There are large-scale irregularities in the Bihar government. Migration continues unchecked, and both farmers and workers are suffering. The youth are being lathi-charged. The state government has failed on every front — Bihar now needs change,” Patel said.

Campaigning for All Seven Mahagathbandhan Candidates

In Nalanda, the Grand Alliance has fielded candidates for all seven assembly seats.

  • Nalanda: Kaushalendra Kumar alias Chhote Mukhiya (Congress)

  • Hilsa: Shakti Yadav (RJD)

  • Harnaut: Arun Bind (Congress)

  • Islampur: Rakesh Roshan (RJD)

  • Rajgir: Vishwanath Chaudhary (CPI-ML)

  • Asthawan: Ravi Ranjan Kumar alias Chhotu Mukhiya (RJD)

  • Bihar Sharif: Umair Khan (Congress) and Shiv Kumar alias Sardar Ji (CPI)

Rahul Gandhi is expected to emphasize employment, price rise, and corruption, urging voters to back Mahagathbandhan candidates.

Addressed Rallies in Muzaffarpur and Darbhanga on Wednesday

A day earlier, Gandhi, accompanied by RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, held public meetings in Muzaffarpur and Darbhanga, where both leaders jointly appealed for votes.

In Darbhanga, Gandhi launched a sharp attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the alleged “Operation Sindoor” episode, saying:

“Modi ji is scared of Trump. The American President openly said he stopped Operation Sindoor by threatening Modi. Trump keeps boasting that he made Modi bow down — and Modi remains silent. Such a person cannot bring development to Bihar. Indira Gandhi once silenced America. If Trump is lying, let Modi come to Bihar and say so.”

In Muzaffarpur, Gandhi targeted both PM Modi and CM Nitish Kumar, questioning Bihar’s lack of progress despite the hard work of its people across India.

“Wherever I go — Delhi, Bangalore, Gujarat — I see the contribution of Bihari youth. You’ve built other states and even Dubai. If you can do that elsewhere, why not in Bihar?”
