RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat Urges Govt to Identify and Deport Illegal Bangladeshi, Rohingya Migrants

Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat on Monday emphasized that it is the government’s responsibility to identify and deport Bangladeshi and Rohingya nationals who have entered India illegally. He urged citizens to report any such cases to authorities to help maintain national security.

Bhagwat made these remarks during the “100 Years of Sangh Yatra: New Dimensions” program held in Hyderabad on Sunday, which marked the RSS centenary. During the event, he also interacted with film personalities and senior bureaucrats.

“Illegal immigration affects the social and economic fabric of the nation,” Bhagwat said, stressing that government mechanisms should ensure proper verification and deportation processes. He noted that citizens play a key role alongside government agencies in safeguarding national interests.

Five Key Points from Bhagwat’s Speech

  1. India’s resilience amid global turmoil is strengthened by its family system, gold savings, and family-based economic activities.

  2. Understanding the RSS requires firsthand experience; superficial knowledge may lead to misconceptions.

  3. Citizens are integral to national development, alongside governments, political parties, and leaders.

  4. RSS prioritizes individual development to build a stronger nation.

  5. The organization’s “Panch Parivartan” (Five Transformations) focuses on family awakening, environmental protection, social harmony, use of indigenous goods (swadeshi), and civic responsibilities.

During his Hyderabad visit, Bhagwat reiterated his longstanding views on societal values and governance. Earlier this month, on January 17, he said Dharma guides both him and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and emphasized that adherence to Dharma will ensure India’s global leadership. On January 2, he clarified that the RSS operates independently of the BJP or the Vishwa Hindu Parishad, highlighting that the Sangh’s mission is societal character building rather than political power. In December, he commented on live-in relationships, stating that the institution of family and marriage forms a vital societal unit beyond mere physical satisfaction.

Bhagwat’s comments on illegal migrants come amid ongoing debates over border security, migration, and demographic changes in India. Analysts suggest that his statements reflect the Sangh’s focus on national integrity and citizen responsibility, aligning with broader discussions on social and cultural cohesion.

The RSS centenary event in Hyderabad underscores the organization’s long-term focus on social reform, civic responsibility, and national security issues, while reiterating its emphasis on family, culture, and disciplined citizen engagement.
