Saurabh Bhardwaj Slams BJP Over CAQM Letter

AAP leader Saurabh Bhardwaj attacked the BJP, claiming that the CAQM's letter has exposed the government's real intentions. He said if the BJP was truly serious, actions would have followed words.
The rule prohibiting old or 'end of life' (ELV) vehicles from filling petrol and diesel in Delhi has been changed once again. Which will now come into effect from November 1. This information was given by the Air Quality Management Commission (CAQM) on Tuesday. Earlier this rule was to be implemented from July 1, but it has now been postponed. On this, Aam Aadmi Party's Delhi State President and Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj has attacked the BJP strongly.
He said that the BJP government lies every day. On March 1, it was only a week since the government was formed, and during this time a minister announced in the media that old vehicles would not get fuel from March 31. After this, this date was extended to June 30, and it was publicized with great fanfare that Delhi would be made pollution free. Bhardwaj said that when the general public and the AAP party opposed it, the government had to hastily withdraw its decision.
Saurabh Bhardwaj has said that CAQM's letter has exposed the truth of the BJP government. He told that CAQM, in consultation with the departments of various states of NCR, had decided that old vehicles will not be given fuel from July 1. This means that all the state governments were involved in this scheme. Now they are only pretending, and this conspiracy has been made for the benefit of vehicle dealers and car manufacturers.
Bhardwaj said that if the government's intention was clear, it would have brought an ordinance in Parliament and made a new law. He also alleged that the BJP is now protecting the interests of industrialists and car companies instead of the public. Politics is being done over Delhi's air quality, while concrete policies are needed for a permanent solution.
This ban will now be implemented simultaneously in Delhi as well as five high vehicle density districts of the National Capital Region (NCR) - Gurugram, Faridabad, Ghaziabad, Gautam Buddha Nagar and Sonipat.
