Saurabh Bhardwaj Targets Rekha Gupta Govt
New Delhi
Delhi Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj slammed Rekha Gupta-led MCD, stating that waterlogging and malaria cases have reached record highs in the city due to poor governance.
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Delhi State President Saurabh Bhardwaj has once again raised questions on the problem of waterlogging in Delhi. He said that when the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government was formed in Delhi, then BJP Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and other ministers had promised that there would be no waterlogging in monsoon this time. But the reality is that the situation in Delhi is contrary to this promise, which can be clearly seen.
He told that after the rain in Delhi, waterlogging situation arose at various places. The most ridiculous thing in this whole matter is that despite water being filled all around, BJP ministers and leaders are constantly claiming that there is no waterlogging anywhere.
Saurabh Bhardwaj, citing some newspapers, said that this year the number of malaria cases in Delhi has crossed all the records of the last decade. He clarified that malaria is spread by mosquito bites, and these mosquitoes are produced due to waterlogging. This situation is proof that the problem of waterlogging is increasing in various places in Delhi.
Saurabh Bhardwaj has appealed to the members of the Bharatiya Janata Party that this is a sensitive issue. The people of Delhi have given you an opportunity to run the government again after 27 years. The deterioration in the condition of Delhi during your government from 1993 to 1998, and the incidents of changing three Chief Ministers, troubled the people of Delhi had pleaded with folded hands. Today, after 27 years, the situation is the same again.
Lack of coordination in Delhi government
Buraari Aam Aadmi Party MLA Sanjeev Jha said that the High Court, while commenting on this matter, has made it clear that there is a lack of coordination between various departments of the government. BJP has always talked about double engine government, but today despite BJP having all the four engines in Delhi, the people of Delhi are facing problems due to lack of coordination.
