Uncle-Nephew Duo Reunion Sparks Political Buzz in Maharashtra

Speculation rises as the uncle-nephew duo may reunite in Maharashtra politics, potentially bridging the two factions of the NCP. This anticipated alliance has intensified political discussions across the state.

Maharashtra politics is currently going through a phase of change. On one hand, there is talk of Thackeray brothers (Uddhav Thackeray and Raj Thackeray) coming together. There is also a discussion going on between the two. Meanwhile, another news has created a sensation in Maharashtra Politics. Uncle-nephew duo Sharad Pawar and Ajit Pawar can be seen once again in Maharashtra politics. Both Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) workers are also discussing this.

However, on the speculation of Sharad Pawar coming together with NCP-SP, Ajit Pawar said that such decisions are taken by the top leadership, not by party workers or junior leaders. At the same time, NCP (SP) MP Supriya Sule also refrained from making any statement on this issue which has been a topic of discussion recently.

Let us tell you that the Nationalist Congress Party, co-founded by Sharad Pawar 26 years ago, split in 2023. His nephew Ajit Pawar joined the BJP-Shiv Sena government in Maharashtra. Both factions celebrated the foundation day in Pune by organizing separate programs. NCP state president Sunil Tatkare said that joining the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) was a collective decision taken for the 'welfare of the people' and not the decision of Ajit Pawar alone. Ajit Pawar is currently the Deputy Chief Minister.

Joining NDA was a collective decision - Sunil Tatkare

Meanwhile, Tatkare said, "It was not a personal decision. Joining the NDA under the leadership of Ajit Pawar was a collective decision. I have clarified on many occasions that there have been many occasions since 2014, when the party (then undivided) had decided to join the alliance. We were on the verge of joining the NDA, but the decision changed at the last moment. He said that in 2023, the party under the leadership of Ajit Pawar decided to join the ruling alliance for the welfare of the people. Tatkare said, "We joined the NDA without compromising on our secular ideology and the ideology of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Mahatma Phule, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar and Shahu Maharaj. He made it clear that the party's journey will continue under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Amit Shah.
