Former Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje on Monday addressed senior BJP leaders in Sikar, emphasizing the party’s expanding influence across the state and the nation. She encouraged leaders to extend their work beyond their own constituencies and strengthen the party’s presence in areas where other parties like Congress still hold sway.
Speaking at the BJP office in Sikar during her journey to Bikaner, Raje reflected on the changing dynamics within the party. “Many faces on the stage have changed. Earlier, we were all agile, fit, and young. Now we have grown older, and this affects everyone,” she said, acknowledging the long years of political work by party veterans.
Raje praised Dhod MLA Gordhan Verma for his sustained efforts in consolidating the party’s position in the constituency. “During earlier contests, our focus was on winning and helping others win. Today, our influence has spread widely like a banyan tree, leaving little space for Congress, Comrades, and other parties. This success did not happen in 1–2 years, but through consistent effort,” she said, urging other leaders to replicate such efforts across Rajasthan.
The former CM was welcomed at the party office by BJP youth workers with a 51 kg garland, an honor she gratefully acknowledged. She interacted with former sarpanchs—some having served four terms—and women party workers who actively contributed to BJP activities late into the night.
During the visit, Raje met BJP’s 2023 Sikar candidate, Ratanlal Jaldhari, commiserating with him over his electoral loss. In a lighter moment, she told Jaldhari to rest after learning that his grandson Yash had garlanded her with the massive floral tribute.
Raje also lauded the BJP office in Sikar for its modern interiors and strategic location. “Unlike earlier times, when party work had to be conducted wherever space was available at members’ houses, the current setup reflects the party’s growth and organizational strength,” she remarked.
Political analysts note that Raje’s visit comes at a time when the BJP is consolidating its grassroots network ahead of upcoming elections in Rajasthan. By highlighting both past achievements and future responsibilities, Raje aimed to inspire party workers to sustain momentum and expand outreach to new regions.
