Problems between India & Bangladesh; Bangladesh Chief Adviser accused New Delhi of spreading ‘fake news’, and ‘portraying him like a Taliban’ says Yunus

On Thursday in New York, the Chief advisor of Bangladesh Mohammad Yunus said, "There are currently problems between India and Bangladesh because they did not like the students' work. Additionally, they are hosting former PM Sheikh Hasina, who is the cause of many problems in our country."

He said this has created tension between India and Bangladesh. Relations between India and Bangladesh began deteriorating from August 2024, when Hasina resigned and came to India.

Actually, after discrimination in job quotas, students held protest demonstrations, which led to a violence in Bangladesh. Yunus also accused India of spreading fake news against Bangladesh.

Yunus also said, "The real meaning of SAARC is that you invest in our country and we will invest in your territory. This is how SAARC works. We are connected to each other through business. Nepal imports goods through its sea routes, which benefits all of us." While speaking about the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC).

He said that all the countries in SAARC can travel to each other's countries, make friends, study in schools-colleges of those countries, and do business. This is the whole idea behindit, 'it doesn't fit into one country's politics' which makes me feel bad.

He further said, "In SAARC, we are all like family. The whole idea of SAARC is Bangladesh's contribution, we have promoted it in South Asian countries. Now you are considering us its enemy."

However, he did not directly name any country.
