Astrologer Amar Dibbawala said the combination of Hartalika Teej with Chaturthi is regarded as especially auspicious according to traditional religious interpretations.
Hartalika Teej is traditionally observed by women seeking marital well-being, prosperity and the long life of their husbands. The coincidence with Ganesh Chaturthi is therefore expected to give the day additional religious significance for devotees.
Special prayers and rituals will be performed at temples and homes across the country.
Ganesh Idol Installation at 11:30 AM
According to the Panchang-based calculations cited by Dibbawala, the auspicious time for installing the clay Ganesh idol is 11:30 AM on September 14.
This year's Ganesh installation will take place during Brahma Yoga, which is traditionally considered favourable for religious rituals.
Devotees will install idols made of clay and perform prayers during the prescribed muhurat, with the belief that worship performed during an auspicious period helps fulfil one's wishes.
Devotees Advised Against Midnight Moon Sighting
The astrologer has also advised devotees to avoid sighting the Moon at midnight on Ganesh Chaturthi.
According to traditional belief, seeing the Moon at the specified time on Chaturthi can be associated with an unwanted religious consequence. Devotees therefore follow specific customs concerning Moon sighting during the festival.
The recommendation is based on religious and Panchang traditions rather than a scientific claim.
Ten Days, Ten Forms of Lord Ganesha
Ganesh Chaturthi will begin the 10-day Ganeshotsav, during which devotees can undertake worship dedicated to different forms of Lord Ganesha.
According to traditional practices, devotees may offer 21 blades of Durva grass and modaks during daily worship.
The 10 names traditionally recited during the period include Ganadhip, Umaputra, Aghanashan, Vinayak, Ishputra, Sarvasiddhipradayak, Ekdant, Ibha Vakra, Mushakvahan and Kumaraguru.

Devotees facing delays in marriage or other auspicious activities may undertake special Ganesh worship during the 10-day festival.
Religious traditions recommend reciting the Ganesh Sahasranama Stotra and conducting associated havan or rituals for those seeking relief from obstacles.
Offering Durva and modaks during the festival is also traditionally believed to help remove difficulties and support the fulfilment of wishes.

Ujjain will witness special religious activities during the festival period. The city's well-known Chintaman Ganesh Temple and Bade Ganesh Temple are expected to conduct special worship and rituals.
