Bikramjit Singh, today when the youth are getting away from farming, Bikramjit has made agriculture popular among the youth on the basis of his wisdom and in the last two years, he has also promoted self-employment by preventing hundreds of youth from going abroad...

Bhartendu Harishchandra, who is called the father of modern Hindi literature, has said- 'The car moves on the beaten track, the bastard moves on the beaten track. All three move away from the beaten track, poet, lion and good son.' What he means to say is that, if everything continues to happen like that, then there will be no difference between society and a herd of sheep. However, some excellent talents break the prevailing traditions and create their own new paradigm. Bikramjit Singh, the owner of Healthy Earth, is an example of such excellent talent for the society. He not only empowered the local farmers by using agricultural technology and new methods, but also built a company worth Rs 100 crore on the strength of his hard work. Generally, in today's time, where the youth consider farming to be a low-profit deal and stay away from it, Bikramjit's effort is a step to attract such youth towards farming.

Used to sell policies from morning to evening
Bikramjit belongs to Gahlewal village of Ludhiana, Punjab. He got his graduation degree in the year 2005. After that, he started working as an agent in an insurance company. He used to sell insurance policies to people every day from 9 am to 5 pm. He was fed up with this daily routine. Then the idea of doing something new came to his mind. Since he was fond of farming since childhood, and to fulfill his hobby, he started farming pomegranate along with his job, but he started facing losses in this farming, due to which he had to stop farming pomegranate. But he did not give up and started farming lemon. By then he had obtained an MBA degree in the year 2010. After that he started working in the banking sector, but his heart was not in it either. He always wondered how long he would be tied to a nine to five job, although he had started getting benefits from farming. When the power changed in the country in 2014, Bikramjit also changed his life. He decided to quit his job and got completely involved in farming.

For the benefit of others as well as himself

Bikramjit started organic farming by leasing 200 acres of land. On the basis of his ability and wisdom, he did not adopt traditional farming and adopted organic farming. Apart from this, instead of cultivating a single crop, he grew grains, vegetables and fruits. By dividing farming into many parts in this way, he also got a lot of profit, but he did not stop here. He wanted to take farming to a different level. For this, he turned to contract farming, where many farmers started working with him, due to which Bikramjit started earning quite well.

Establishment of 'Healthy Earth'

To further promote organic farming, Bikramjit established "Healthy Earth". After the establishment of Healthy Earth, he started selling many organic products. After this, he also opened an organic food restaurant and kept on expanding his business and never looked back.

Emphasis on self-employment

Bikramjit established an organization called 'Generation of Farming' and through this organization in the last few years, he has prevented hundreds of youth from going abroad. His aim is to do good for himself as well as the society. Therefore, he keeps trying to create more and more jobs in the agriculture and retail sector. Bikramjit has built an empire of more than Rs 100 crore with smart management skills, cooperation of local farmers and his wisdom. He has shown that agriculture is not just a means of livelihood, but it can also be a thriving business and a platform for development.

Lessons for the youth

The skill of turning dreams into reality comes from a new beginning after defeat. A little patience is necessary in every journey to success. Dreams come true only for those who are not afraid
